Abu Dhabi Police are reminding residents that prior approval is required for any celebratory parades or public gatherings.
Authorities say organisers must obtain permission from the relevant entities, stressing that compliance with regulations is essential to protect public safety and prevent damage to property.
Police add that proper coordination helps maintain security and ensures traffic continues to flow smoothly. Residents are being urged to act responsibly and report any unauthorised activities.
The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols has also warned against the dangers of spontaneous gatherings on roads, highlighting risky behaviour such as passengers leaning out of windows or sunroofs.
As per the Federal Traffic Law, driving in a manner that endangers the public carries a AED 2,000 fine, 23 black points and a 60-day vehicle impoundment, while taking part in an unapproved parade can result in a AED 500 fine, four black points and a 15-day impoundment for light vehicles.
