Abu Dhabi Police have come to the aid of a motorist who suffered serious injuries after his vehicle collided with a truck on Sweihan Road.
Officials said the driver lost control of the vehicle due to "severe exhaustion" while driving towards Al Ain’s Al Taff Road at 4:45 pm on Tuesday.
Paramedics provided the necessary first-aid to the patient before airlifting him to the Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) for treatment.
Two passengers in the car, who also suffered injuries, were moved to SSMC by road.
The authorities have reminded motorists not to drive if they are feeling exhausted or sleepy.
