A system for collecting, storing and transporting waste in Zabeel 1 and 2 areas has been launched.
According to Dubai Municipality, the move is in line with Dubai's efforts to build a smart and sustainable city.
The project will help segregate waste in residential areas. All old waste storage methods have been withdrawn and 212 new containers have been installed in the specified areas.
The initiative aims to promote and implement optimal uses of recyclable materials.
Field visits will also be carried out to promote the importance of adhering to waste separation guidelines.
