The UAE has confirmed 842 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 81,782.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), more than 93,600 additional tests have been carried out across the Emirates.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has gone up to 71,456 after another 821 people received the all-clear.
The ministry has also confirmed the death of one patient, bringing the total number of fatalities to 402.
This means that there are currently 9,924 active cases in the country.
