The first phase of an initiative to train government agency employees to carry out COVID-19 tests for their colleagues has been launched in Abu Dhabi.
The drive is being run in collaboration with the Tamouh Health Care company.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office says the staff are being trained by the company to carry out the PCR tests.
In a statement posted on social media, the Office said this will help to streamline testing procedures and relieve pressure on screening centres.
The government agencies taking part are the Supreme Council for National Security, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, the Abu Dhabi Media Office and the Abu Dhabi Crisis and Disasters Centre.
Other entities are being encouraged to volunteer for the initiative.
