Dubai's General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has launched an AI-powered platform named "Salama" that allows for easier renewal or cancellation of residency visas.
The platform will facilitate a more efficient process to renew residency visas for sponsored individuals removing long wait times and paperwork.
It also allows individuals to check their request statuses and access other services, especially catering to "families of non-citizen sponsored individuals," the GDRFA said.
This digital transformation embodies a forward-thinking vision, putting the user at the center of development and by harnessing the latest Al technology, the platform delivers "a smooth, secure experience that lets you effortlessly renew or cancel residency for sponsored individuals, check request statuses, and access a host of other services." The GDRFA said via a social media post.
The new platform was launched during the 4th Annual Media Council.
