Dubai residents with certain medical conditions can now apply for permission to be exempted from wearing face masks.
The announcement was made by the Dubai Health Authority in partnership with Dubai Police.
The Authority's General Medical Committee Office will evaluate the applications which can be made via the website dxbpermit.gov.ae.
They must include a medical report confirming the applicant suffers from medical problems that can be aggravated by wearing face masks.
The application will be processed within five days.
