Dubai Police has distributed bottled water, cold juices, gloves, hats, and sanitizers to labour workers in the Naif area.
The ‘Cool Summer’ initiative aims to spread positivity and help laborers beat the summer heat.
In cooperation with Dubai Customs’ volunteer team, Gayyath, officers from Naif Police Station handed out the care packages.
The initiative is part of Dubai Police’s humanitarian work and social responsibility aimed at placing labour rights at the forefront of its strategies and plans.
Colonel Juma Salem Obaid Bin Suwaidan, Deputy Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, said the initiative consolidates the vital role of Dubai Police and Dubai Customs towards different segments of society. "The "Cool Summer" initiative demonstrates the mutual keenness on promoting humanitarian values and solidarity, as well as building bridges of communication with all segments of society", he added.
