It's been confirmed that an expat living in Dubai was killed in Sunday's bomb blasts in Sri Lanka.
British citizen Lorraine Campbell was staying at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, one of the three hotels targeted by the bombers, with her colleague Juno Srivastava, an Indian national, who has been officially listed as missing.
Following the attacks, friends and family launched an online campaign on Twitter to find them.
Her husband Neil Evans has issued a statement saying: 'Lorraine was a real tour de force, she epitomised the qualities she lived by, and was a conduit for bringing people together to both make things happen, and make them better.
'I've lost my best friend in the world for all the adventures we shared and planned for the future.
Speaking in the UK, her son Mark said the “world has lost someone beautiful.”
The pair were in Colombo for a business trip.
In a statement to ARN News, their employer, Al Futtaim Group said: “Given the sensitive nature of the situation, we consider this a private matter and therefore we will not be commenting.”
