An Emirati delegation carried out inspections at the Amdjarass-based UAE field hospital in Chad, set up under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide urgent humanitarian aid to Sudanese refugees.
The team, comprising officials from Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, monitored the hospital’s operations - from check-ups and diagnosis to surgeries.
Dr. Ahmed Obaid Al Dhaheri, Head of the ERC delegation in Chad, said the checks aimed to "identify and meet the medical, food and humanitarian needs of refugees and provide them with support".
The move is also an extension of the UAE’s deep-rooted humanitarian approach to help those in need.
Patients at the hospital expressed gratitude for the care and support extended by the UAE.
