GITEX GLOBAL 2025 wrapped up its 45th edition on Friday in Dubai, capping off five days of breakthrough tech showcases, global dialogue and deal-making.
The event brought together over 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups from 180 countries, and 1,200 investors across Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Harbour, making it the world’s largest tech and AI gathering.
High-level discussions tackled major issues around AI regulation, data sovereignty and quantum-era threats, with ministers, officials and tech leaders calling for global collaboration — positioning governments not just as responders, but as co-creators of emerging technologies.
On the show floor, innovations wowed the crowd — from smart contact lenses that monitor glucose levels, to brain-computer implants, and AI-powered gene editing tools.
Tech giants and chipmakers also revealed infrastructure built for sovereign AI and national-scale intelligence.
At Dubai Harbour, the startup zone Expand North Star hosted founders from over 100 countries, attracting investors managing more than $1.1 trillion in assets.
South Korea’s AIM Intelligence took home the top prize in the Supernova Challenge 2.0, which featured a total prize pool of $300,000.
Looking ahead, GITEX will return in December 2026 with a bold new format — GITEX TechCation — moving to Expo City Dubai and blending technology with lifestyle, culture and immersive citywide experiences.
