Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in the UAE on Wednesday for an official visit.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, welcomed the visiting delegation at Abu Dhabi Airport.
An official reception was held for El-Sisi at the Qasr Al Watan, which involved the firing of 21 rounds of artillery.
Talks between Sheikh Mohamed and the Egyptian President focused on strengthening cooperation in various fields.
They also reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest, in addition to the challenges and crises faced by some of the countries in the Arab region.
El-Sisi reiterated the Egyptian government's solidarity with the UAE and its people following the recent attack carried out by the Houthi militia.
He also expressed support for all measures taken by the UAE to deal with security threats.
