His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Italian President Sergio Mattarella, at Zabeel Palace, on Thursday.
Mattarella is on an official visit to the UAE.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the strong and long-standing ties between the UAE and Italy, noting their continued growth across a wide range of sectors in line with the shared vision of both countries’ leaderships.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, innovation, technology and future industries.
The two sides also reviewed ways to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest and exchanged views on regional and international developments, stressing the importance of dialogue and international cooperation in supporting stability and sustainable development.
Mattarella praised the steady progress of relations between the two countries and the strength of their strategic partnership, commending the UAE’s economic achievements and reaffirming Italy’s commitment to deepening cooperation.
