The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince has spoken with Pope Francis about the global COVID-19 pandemic.
During Sunday's telephone call, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces discussed developments related to the spread of coronavirus, as well as the importance of promoting solidarity and global cooperation in confronting the pandemic.
His Highness also expressed his hope that Italy and the Vatican will overcome the ordeal as soon as possible, offering the support of the UAE during these difficult times.
Pope Francis thanked Sheikh Mohamed and praised the UAE's humanitarian initiatives and stances during this global challenge.
