The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security has announced the granting of golden visa residency to the first 2023 graduating students from Emirati schools and universities.
Golden residency is granted to students who obtain 95 per cent or more in the general secondary certificate for a period of five years without a guarantor.
The benefits of the visa also extends to family members based on the list of approved nominations provided by the Emirates Foundation for School Education to the Authority.
Golden residency is also granted to students of local and international universities, on condition the graduated student obtains an honours grade, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 or 3.75, according to the approved classification of universities inside and outside the country.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Authority, said the granting of golden residency to the first graduate students from Emirati schools and universities confirms the UAE's approach of rewarding promising scientific skills and talents and attracting students to study and work in the country while providing them with the opportunity to contribute to the process of development and progress.
