Weather alert: Strong winds and rain forecast for UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert for the country, with more rain and strong winds forecast for the next few days.

They took to their official social media channels to post video footage of rainfall recorded in parts of Fujairah and Sharjah.

The UAE weather bureau NCM confirmed that the change in weather is due to cloud seeding across the region.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to exercise caution on the roads due to poor visibility.

Drivers are advised to follow the changing speed limits and check for updates displayed on electronic information boards.
