The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has recommended remote working patterns for all government entities and private companies in the UAE on Thursday and Friday due to the adverse weather forecast.
In an announcement on their social media channel, the authority urged each Emirate to make the final decision, with the exemption of "essential jobs", "response and recovery efforts" and jobs that require presence at the workplace.
Distance learning has also been recommended for all public and private schools across the UAE on Thursday and Friday, in order to preserve public safety.
Earlier, Dubai and Sharjah announced they would be switching to online learning.
The authority added that the roads leading to valleys, dams and areas prone to water-logging will be closed as a precaution.

In an earlier announcement, Sharjah announced the closure of all parks and cancellation of all sports competitions during the two days.
