The UAE believes a peaceful solution to the crisis in Yemen is imperative. That’s the word of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, who was speaking at the opening of the Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate. According to national news agency WAM, Dr Gargash emphasised that any solution must be one which respects the wishes of the Yemeni people and the legitimacy of the Yemen government. He also stressed that the UAE would continue to provide humanitarian relief to alleviate the suffering of the people of Yemen, and highlighted the UAE’s long history of aid support to the country.
