E-scooter riders in Dubai will have to comply with strict safety measures as authorities gear up to expand their use in more locations.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced last month that dedicated electric scooter lanes will soon cover ten districts of the city, following successful trial runs.
Hussain Al Banna, the Executive Director of Traffic at the RTA, spoke to Dubai Eye 103.8's The Agenda about the safety rules that have been drawn up, including the minimum age to ride.
He also explained the operational and technical standards/ specifications that e-scooters are expected to meet.
