His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
An image posted on social media on Sunday showed a healthcare worker administering the jab.
The Sinopharm vaccine, which is administered in two doses within a gap of 21-28 days, is available for free across the UAE.
Last November, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received the vaccine shot.
It comes as the UAE crossed the one million milestone for vaccine shots.
