Sharjah Taxi has started testing electric vehicles for the limousine service at its international airport, marking a major step towards transitioning to carbon-free public transportation by 2050.
The vehicle, called the Skywell, offers a luxurious and eco-friendly travel option.
Testing started in June and aims to assess the vehicle's comfort, safety and suitability.
Osool Transport Solutions is the company behind the new vehicles, and in addition to the testing, Sharjah Taxi is increasing the number of electric vehicle charging stations across the emirate.
This move represents the ongoing commitment to promote eco-friendly transportation and contribute to Sharjah's vision of a sustainable future.
