The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) said the first phase will benefit those living in Al Dhaid, Al Hamriya, Al Madam, Al Bataeh, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Dibba Al Hisn and Mleiha.
The initiative, which will run until the end of January, 2021, is in cooperation with the UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention.
It's aimed to meet the health needs of seniors and provide them with in-home care during these critical times.
