The UAE has participated in the historic power-sharing deal between the ruling military council and civilian opposition alliance.
UAE Minister of State Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan attended the ceremony where the two parties ratified the new 'Constitutional and Political Declarations'.
"Peaceful transition of power through dialogue is the most effective guarantee for the development and progress of nations," Dr. Al Jaber said.
The UAE's ambassador to Sudan, Hamad Mohammed Al Junaibi, and the Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, were among those present.
African Union and Ethiopian mediators, who helped broker the accord, were also present.
