UAE calls for de-escalation in Russia

The UAE said it is following with "great concern" the situation in Russia and called for de-escalation and self-restraint after a rebellion in the military forces threatened further instability in the region. 

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) underscored the need to respect the rules and principles of international law.

The UAE also emphasized the need to preserve the unity and stability of the Russian Federation to achieve security and prosperity for its people.
