His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended meetings with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in Jordan.
During the “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” Conference in Jordan, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah commended the proposals of US President Joe Biden for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the adoption by the UN Security Council of a US-drafted resolution based on these proposals.
In both meetings with the US and Qatar officials, Sheikh Abdullah discussed the importance of the mediation efforts of Qatar, along with Egypt and the US, to reach a sustainable ceasefire.

Sheikh Abdullah stressed the UAE's support for all efforts and reiterated the importance of dealing seriously and positively to stop the escalation, protect the lives of all civilians, and alleviate the worsening humanitarian crisis suffered by the civilians in the Gaza Strip.
