The UAE has launched its first-ever Genome Centre in the country.

According Al Jalila Children's Speciality Hospital, the centre has its very own diagnostic laboratory, a fully equipped clinic and will provide genetic counselling to support patients, families, and other doctors.

The centre will offer the regional community complex genetic testing at a faster and more cost-effective rate than other labs around the world.

This will also help provide effective treatments for children and adults.
