The UAE has successfully mediated the exchange of 150 war captives between Russia and Ukraine.
It's the fourth such prisoner exchange deal to be brokered by the UAE.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the UAE’s commitment to continuing efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
It also stressed the importance of resorting to diplomacy, dialogue, de-escalation and mitigating the humanitarian repercussions resulting from the crisis.
The UAE's mediation efforts succeeded in completing three exchanges of war captives between Russia and Ukraine since the beginning of this year, in addition to the exchange of two prisoners between the United States and Russia in December 2022.
