The UAE has provided relief aid to people affected by heavy floods in Yemen.

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has distributed more than 800 food baskets in Shabwa's Merkhah As Sufla district.

Close to 5,000 people whose homes were damaged by the floods were also provided with shelter camps.

The move is part of the ERC's efforts to improve living conditions in Yemen.
