The UAE and Qatar have announced the restoration of diplomatic ties with both countries reopening their embassies on Monday.
According to the statement on the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, the UAE embassy will reopen in Doha, while Qatar's embassy in Abu Dhabi and its consulate in Dubai will resume services.
Based on the Al-Ula agreement, it's part of efforts by the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations, the statement added.

During a phone call, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulated his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, describing the move as a "vital step" towards establishing "a new stage of cooperation and partnership between the two countries".
The officials also discussed ways to explore strengthening cooperation in various vital sectors.
