The UAE has announced on Thursday that its defence systems are responding to missile and drone threats from Iran.
An alert was shared to the public at 8:11 am, with the Ministry of Defence noting that the sounds heard are due to successful interceptions of the attacks.
An all-clear alert was later sent out to the community that the situation is safe, and activities can resume with precaution.
The public is advised to remain in a safe location and follow official channels for updates.
