Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 provided medical services to more than 48,700 people in the UAE's Gaza field hospital and performed more than 1,780 surgeries since its inception on December 2 last year, the Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday.
The UAE field hospital in the Gaza Strip continues to receive patients from Palestinian brothers of all categories, who receive its treatment and medical services around the clock.
The hospital's medical team performed surgeries ranging from simple to serious of various types, such as orthopedics, nerves, and general surgeries.
The UAE also provided 10 ambulances and 400 tons of medical aid to support the health sector in Gaza.
The hospital includes operating rooms qualified to perform various types of surgeries, including general, pediatric, and vascular surgery, intensive care rooms for adults and children, an anesthesia department, and specialized clinics including internal medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, psychiatry, family medicine, pediatrics, and gynecology, in addition to supporting medical services.
The hospital provides CT scans, X-rays, and pharmaceutical services. It is equipped with a laboratory that includes the latest devices needed to conduct various types of analyses and examinations, which enhances its ability to provide integrated treatment to its visitors and beneficiaries according to the best international standards and protocols.

The medical staff working in the UAE field hospital in the Gaza Strip includes specialized and qualified cadres in various medical branches, in addition to medical volunteers.
The field hospital in Gaza also includes a prosthetic limbs center, to support the injured and assist them with an integrated set of the latest medical devices in the field of orthopedic treatment and correction, providing and manufacturing high-quality prosthetic limbs, and rehabilitating patients.
The field hospital was established based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and operates in joint cooperation between three humanitarian institutions in the UAE, namely the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, as part of the UAE’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian brothers and support the health system in the sector, which is facing exceptional and critical circumstances.
