Defending a big score of 196-6, MS Dhoni’s men restricted their opponents to 127-9. Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan struck his maiden T20 fifty and top scored with 51 off 25 balls. Spinner R. Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-14, while Sri Lankan paceman Thisara Perera became the fourth cricketer to claim a hat-trick in international T20s. The decisive third game of the series will be played in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
