Premier League: Liverpool surges as Everton slips into bottom three

Premier League leaders Liverpool have heaped more pressure on Everton.

Jurgen Klopp's side won 5-2 at Anfield to push their Merseyside rivals into the relegation zone.

Leicester are back up to second after securing a 2-0 win over Watford, while fourth-placed Chelsea bounced back from consecutive top-flight defeats to beat Aston Villa 2-1.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho made a losing return to Old Trafford as Manchester United defeated them 2-1.

Elsewhere, Southampton have climbed out of the drop zone after edging Norwich 2-1 and Wolves have moved up to fifth thanks to a 2-0 win against West Ham.
