An own goal by Luke Shaw in the 12th minute gave the Catalan side a 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a precious away goal for Juventus to help them draw the first leg of their quarter-final against Ajax 1-1.
It was the Portuguese forward's 125th Champions League goal.
