India's cricketing star Sachin Tendulkar has met a hotel staff member whose advice helped him during his cricketing days.

The Taj Group helped locate its employee after the cricketer had launched an appeal online to track the man.

"I had met a staffer at Taj Coromandel, Chennai during a Test series with whom I had a discussion about my elbow guard, after which I redesigned it. I wonder where he is now and wish to catch up with him," he had tweeted.

During their chat, nearly 19 years ago, the worker had pointed out how Tendulkar's batting was impacted by his arm guard.
