Women's World Cup: India beat New Zealand by 4 runs

India edged past New Zealand to secure their place in the semi-finals of the Women's T20 World Cup.

India reached 133-8 in the crucial group A match, with opener Shafali Verma's scoring a stunning 46 that fetched her the second player-of-the-match award. Meanwhile, Taniya Bhatia chipped in with a 25-ball 23. 

Amelia Kerr struck a magnificent 34 from 24 balls, but it wasn't enough to pull New Zealand through. 

India, who are now four points clear at the top of Group A, will play Sri Lanka in their final group game in Melbourne on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Australia will play Bangladesh later in Canberra.
