Five Chinese tourists killed in New Zealand bus crash

A tourist bus carrying 27 people veered off a highway in New Zealand's North Island on Wednesday, killing five Chinese nationals and injuring six others.

The bus reportedly rolled over on State Highway 5 near Rotorua, a popular destination for tourist groups from China.

Police said two of the survivors were seriously injured and four were moderately hurt.

The driver has escaped with minor injuries and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
