Thai princess thanks supporters after leadership bid

he Thai princess at the centre of a leadership battle has thanked her supporters.

Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi announced on Friday that she would be the prime ministerial candidate for a populist party.

However her shock revelation was quickly opposed by her brother, King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

The election will happened on March 24.
