One person has been arrested and jewellery worth AED 350,000 recovered after Ajman Police cracked a burglary case in record time.
Police said, the Asian family had returned to their home in Al Nuaimiya last Saturday to discover it was broken into.
They alerted the officers and reported that AED 6,000 in cash, jewellery worth AED 350,000 and some devices were stolen.
Teams from Ajman Police arrived at the scene within four minutes and found that the thieves had entered the house through a window and escaped with the safe containing the valuables.
Following an intense two-day investigation, officers nabbed one suspect from the Al Rashidiya area, who confessed to the crime. His partner, however, had managed to flee.
All valuables, barring some amount of cash, was recovered and returned to the family.
In a video post, the owner of the house expressed his gratitude to the police force for their timely intervention and praised them for making them always feel safe.
