Dubai has unveiled safety guidelines and etiquette signage to combat the spread of COVID-19 as public transport networks resume operations on Sunday.
Icons and colour coding, based on international guidelines, are used to educate the public about the importance of social distancing and best preventive practices.
Red indicates mandatory compliance to avoid violations and penalties, while yellow creates awareness around public safety.
It identifies two types of guidelines to be displayed at all entry and exit points of metro and bus stations as well as public transit means, taxis and public facilities. The first is mandatory and includes four symbols, namely: No Sitting (on some seats to maintain social distancing), Two Riders Only (in taxis and limos), Leave Safe Distance (indoors) and Wear Mask (in all places). The second is educative and includes three icons: Use Gloves, Medical Santisers, and Wash Hands.
