More than 760,000 medical fitness tests and occupational screenings have been conducted in Dubai.
That's according to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), which clarified that more than 660,000 were medical tests and over 99,000 were occupational screening examinations.
"There are currently 18 active centres spread across Dubai, 13 are Medical Fitness Centres and five are Occupational Screening Centres," said Maisa Al Bustani, Director of the Medical Fitness Services Department.
Health authorities clarified that medical fitness tests are mandatory for all expats to obtain a residency visa.
Meanwhile, the occupational screenings include blood tests and physical assessments related to the employee's occupation as per the international guidelines.
