In a bid to ease congestion and boost traffic flow, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is putting the final touches on key upgrades at the Dubai Healthcare City exit on Street 13, connecting to Oud Metha and Sheikh Rashid Roads.
The improvements are set to be completed by July 20.
The project will turn the current stop-controlled exit into a free-flow lane, adding a new acceleration lane leading toward the intersection of Oud Metha and Sheikh Rashid Roads.
The service road exit is also being widened from one lane to two over a 500-metre stretch, helping to accommodate more vehicles coming from Al Riyadh Street.
Once complete, the enhancements will double the road’s capacity to 3,000 vehicles per hour and cut average wait times by up to 50 per cent, especially during peak hours.
The improvements are part of the RTA’s broader strategy to boost road efficiency and safety across Dubai’s busiest corridors, including previous upgrades in the Umm Hurair and Oud Metha areas.
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance traffic flow and improve the efficiency of #Dubai’s road network, #RTA is finalising a series of traffic enhancements at Dubai Healthcare City exit (Street 13), with completion scheduled for 20 July 2025.
