Dubai increases food safety with new app-based smart system

Shopping in Dubai has become much safer with the introduction of a new service from Dubai Municipality.

Dubai residents can use the municipality’s smart service to verify the safety of registered food products in the database before making a purchase.

The verification can be done by scanning the barcode on the food item.
