Dubai Police have added the Lamborghini Temerario, a hybrid supercar that can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, to their luxury tourist patrol fleet.
The car was introduced in partnership with Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
It is powered by a new 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine combined with three electric motors, producing 920 horsepower.
The luxury patrols operate in popular tourist spots and busy areas, giving residents and visitors the chance to meet police officers and learn about their services.
“These vehicles help people feel safe, showcase Dubai’s positive image to visitors from around the world, and raise awareness of police services and public safety,” said Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police.
Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman Abdulwahid, Director of the Tourist Police Department, said the addition reflects the force’s efforts to keep developing the fleet and strengthen partnerships with the private sector.
Martino Picotti, General Manager of Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, said the Temerario “marks an exciting new chapter” in the brand’s partnership with Dubai Police.
