Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has converted Al Satwa Roundabout to a signalised intersection to cut travel time between key corridors by 50 per cent and reduce traffic queues by up to 60 per cent during peak hours.
It will also improve bus movement and access in and out of the area, strengthening integration between the road network and the public transport system.
The intersection serves traffic from 2nd December Street towards the Trade Centre and Al Satwa, and connects neighbouring areas, including Al Bada’a, Al Jafiliya, Al Hudaiba and Jumeirah. It also provides easier access to Sheikh Zayed Road and surrounding key corridors.
The project complements wider road network improvements across the area and surrounding districts, most notably the World Trade Centre Roundabout Development Project.
