Mohammed Al Gergawi honoured for dedicated leadership

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has awarded the Mohammed bin Rashid Sash to Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, for his dedicated service.

His Highness presented the honour at the Mohammed bin Rashid Leaders Forum on Tuesday, describing Al Gergawi as a dedicated national leader who has supported him for three decades.

“Few are those whom we can truly call companions on the journey, and Mohammed Al Gergawi is one of them,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote on X.

“I have known him to be sincere in both word and deed, loyal to his country and its leadership, and wholeheartedly dedicated to serving his fellow citizens.”

Sheikh Mohammed also awarded Marwan bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Medal, which recognises the best Director General for developing the next generation of leaders.

"The best Director General is one who does not reduce the organisation to their own persona, but rather builds a team capable of carrying the work forward,” His Highness said.

The forum brought together 1,000 leaders from the public and private sectors, along with a group of promising young leaders.

Sheikh Mohammed said projects worth more than AED 2 trillion are currently under way in Dubai.

“Our journey is accelerating, not slowing down... we are gearing up for a new phase of growth and development. We will not stop,” said His Highness.
