Dubai Police say they blocked 232 websites promoting drugs and helped secure 24 arrests worldwide during the final quarter of 2025, highlighting an intensified campaign against narcotics and international trafficking networks.
Officials revealed that 121 intelligence leads were shared with global partners during the period, helping authorities track suspects beyond the UAE as part of a coordinated cross-border effort to disrupt drug operations.
The results were reviewed during a fourth-quarter performance meeting of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, chaired by Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Affairs.
Senior officers said the force continues to strengthen its use of technology, including artificial intelligence tools, to target trafficking networks and limit the spread of drugs across Dubai and the wider UAE. Major General Al Shamsi praised officers for what he described as strong operational performance and reaffirmed the force’s focus on training and adopting international best practices.
The meeting also reviewed case numbers, seizures, and operational plans, alongside future strategies aimed at improving enforcement and prevention. Brigadier Khalid bin Muwaiza, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department, said drug trafficking remains a global challenge requiring close international cooperation.
Dubai Police also highlighted prevention efforts, saying the Hemaya International Center delivered 238 awareness programmes reaching nearly 76,000 people during the quarter, while social media campaigns connected with more than 4.6 million users.
Authorities say the combined approach of enforcement, intelligence-sharing and public awareness remains central to efforts to protect communities from drug-related crime.
