Emirates Airline has cancelled and rescheduled several flights to and from New York and Newark due to a severe snowstorm expected to impact the area.
It confirmed that four flights have been cancelled, including flight EK203 from Dubai to New York on February 22, the return service EK204 from New York to Dubai on February 22, as well as the Athens–Newark route EK209 on February 22 and the Newark–Athens service EK210 on February 23.
Several other flights have been rescheduled as weather conditions continue to affect operations. Flight EK202 will now depart New York at 6:00 p.m. local time on February 22, arriving in Dubai at 3:25 p.m. the following day. Flight EK201 from Dubai to New York will leave at 2:30 p.m. on February 23 and land at 7:55 p.m. local time.
Services between New York and Milan have also been adjusted, with EK206 departing New York at 8:00 p.m. on February 22 and arriving in Milan at 9:35 a.m. the next day, while EK205 will leave Milan at 6:40 p.m. on February 23 and arrive in New York at 9:55 p.m.
Emirates advised customers affected by cancellations to contact their travel agents for rebooking, while passengers who booked directly with the airline should get in touch with Emirates for assistance. Travellers affected by schedule changes and connecting through Dubai will be rebooked to their final destinations.
The airline is urging passengers to regularly check their flight status and ensure contact details are updated through the “Manage Your Booking” service to receive the latest updates.
Emirates said it is continuing to monitor weather conditions and apologised for the disruption.
