There's good news if you own an electric car or if you're planning to get one as free public charging stations will soon come up in Sharjah.
The initiative, covering prominent locations, will be rolled out in phases until 2025.
Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) and Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) have partnered with the UAE-based sustainable transportation company, ION to implement the project.
Authorities are also drawing up regulations aimed at encouraging the use of electric vehicles in the emirate.
