Tenants in Jebel Ali Village have already been informed of the redevelopment plans, details of which will be shared "in due course".
This is according to a spokesperson from Nakheel Properties.
They added, "We recognise Jebel Ali Village's importance to Dubai's history and its residents and, for this reason, have decided to redevelop the community to preserve and enhance its longevity for many more generations to come."
According to the spokesperson, the leading property developer is complying with all legal requirements, and they are keen to help the tenants as best they can during the transition.
They have put in place support services to make their relocation as smooth as possible.
